The ACT English Proficiency Programme (EPP) is designed to equip international learners (students) with the essential English language skills needed to communicate effectively in class as well as at their future workplace.
This short course is designed to equip international learners (students) with the essential English language skills needed to communicate effectively in class.
Each learning unit focuses on speaking, reading, writing and listening of the English Language covering future plans, expressing opinions on familiar topics, and comprehending more complex instructions.
There is an additional 30 self-learning hours with materials provided.
Pre-requisite:
Learners (students) must successfully complete the ACT English Proficiency Programme (Level 1A) course before progressing into this short course.
Who Should Attend?
Teenagers in secondary high school, who are pursuing studies abroad, navigating daily interactions, and adapting to life in English-speaking environments.
Individuals who have completed secondary school education or a relevant vocational or technical education program and want to pursuit into higher education.
Entry Requirement
15 years old
Possess little or basic ability to communicate in English
Completed primary school education or its equivalent, or
Completion of Lower Secondary High School qualification or equivalent for International Students.

Assessment Framework
Combination of Formative and Summative Assessments
Graduation Requirement and Award
ASCENSUS Institute award will be conferred upon successful completion of the programme with competency in all the summative assessments.
Learners (students) who successfully complete the ACT English Proficiency Programme (Level 1A and 1B) assessments with competency in all the assessments will also receive ACT English Proficiency Programmes certificate at Level 1.
Possible Progression Pathway
Upon successful completion of the course, learners (students) may proceed to enrol into ACT English Proficiency Programmes (Level 2A) short course.
