Yati’s journey in international business began during her tenure as a Business Development Manager in multi-national companies like Global Knowledge Network and Hewlett Packard. There, she spearheaded business development activities across the Asia Pacific region. Her strategic vision, market insights and negotiation skills were crucial in building international partnerships and boosting the company’s market position.
As the co-founder and Group Managing Director of ASCENSUS INSTITUTE, Yati has played a pivotal role in the establishment and growth of the institution; driving its success in higher education. With a passion for fostering academic distinction and creating transformative educational experiences, Yati brings a wealth of knowledge, vision and leadership to her organization.
Yati’s profound passion for education served as the catalyst for the foundation of Blue Dolphin PlaySkool, a chain of kindergartens across Indonesia. With a deep commitment to foster an environment where young children can thrive and develop holistically, Yati has significantly transformed the regional early education landscape.

Palaniappan is currently engaged in a number of Strategic Consulting and Senior Management Coaching projects specializing in strategy and business development, succession planning and management coaching for both owner-managed business and multi-nationals. His current management coaching assignments are in the areas of improving internal and external communication skills, managing and working in ambiguity and change, handling stress and maintaining motivation, leading and visioning, and motivation for peak performance.
He was the Chief Executive Officer of a Regional Manufacturing Group of companies. He developed the company from a single plant with 14 machines and 50 people and sales of USD $5 million to a Regional Group with 2 plants & 1 marketing office in China, 1 plant in Malaysia and 1 plant in Singapore, with more than 140 machines and 450 people and sales of USD $20 million within a 5 year period. He was responsible for the profitability of the Group and, in particular, his primary responsibilities were business development and marketing for new business for both the Singapore and the regional manufacturing plants. Acquired new customers from the US, Europe, China, Japan and India for the Group.
He was previously the Consulting Manager in Arthur Andersen. He was involved in Management & Operations consulting focusing on Change Management, Strategic, Business & Financial Planning, Marketing Planning and Implementation, Performance Measurement Systems, Cost Reduction, Human Resource Management and Organisation Re-engineering.
He was involved in Management Information Systems consulting focusing on Packaged Systems Feasibility Studies, Custom MIS Design, Executive Recruitment, Installation and Training. In addition to managing the change involved in re-engineering, restructuring and streamlining operations, he also mapped out strategies for local and international market development, and strategic, financial and cash flow planning.
In his more than 20 years of working experience, he has worked with local and international clients in Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Indonesia, Belgium, Myanmar, India and China in diverse industries such as banking, manufacturing, service and retail industries and owner-managed businesses.
He has been involved in corporate training and consulting in project management, strategic management and change management for companies in the region. Eric Emmanuel Tan

Eric Tan started his training business in 1992 as a young entrepreneur. He has established himself as a leading subject matter expert in the environmental cleaning industry, having created more than 70 courses to support the various job types, levels, and technical roles in the industry.
Early in his career, Eric Tan identified the need to organise both the hard and soft skills training for the environmental cleaning, landscaping, and pest control company employees in a simplified and practical manner. This ensured that the base understanding and application of skills was convenient and applicable to all levels of education background. To enhance the delivery of the training sessions in English, Eric Tan developed multi-language training aids in Mandarin and Malay to cater to the senior age group of employees in the industries.
Due to the recognition of his knowledge and expertise, Eric Tan was invited and has delivered environmental services training in China, India, Sri Lanka, and Malaysia over the past 20 years. He was also instrumental in signing up an Asia Pacific regional partnership with City & Guilds, UK to represent them in conducting environmental services industry training from Level 1 Certificate in Cleaning and Support Services Skills to City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma in Cleaning Supervision Skills courses.
With such international recognition and partnership, he has built up a successful business over the last 30 years. On average, Eric Tan’s team trains more than 10,000 people annually. He also helped design and deliver the only WSQ Diploma in Environmental Services (EVS) Level 4 program in Singapore for the owners, team leaders, supervisors, and managers in the environmental cleaning industry.
This track record provided the recognition in the industry and facilitated partnerships with the Environmental Management Association of Singapore (EMAS). Together with EMAS, he designed and helped to deliver the EMAS Dual Diploma program, which included both the WSQ Diploma in EVS Level 4 program and the City and Guilds, UK, Diploma. This was the first of its kind program in Singapore for the industry.
